“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.” Romans 1:18-19
We may very well have perfectly functioning senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste.. but dysfunctional sense of wonder. And yet this is arguably the most important sense of all – the one sense that attributes what all the other senses perceive to something greater than the immediate experience. In other words, the one sense that appreciates the Creator behind the creation.
For every bit of experience, let us always wonder its Alfa and Omega, its origin and destiny. We cannot help but wonder when we consider it beyond our comprehension. When we enjoy great vistas, music, clothing, and food, let us enjoy the Creator even more.
Let us not appreciate the Special Revelation at the expense of the General Revelation; they go hand-in-hand albeit at vastly different levels of significance. May we worship God in all His goodness, Soli Deo Gloria!
